More than Just another Dental Conference

Every major city has its own personality, and Boston’s personality is steeped in history. It is a history made up of revolutionary concepts regarding government and society that played a major role in shaping the United States as well as the world we live in today.

Holding the AGD’s annual meeting in Boston gives us the opportunity to reflect on our own history, and how that history revolutionized the field of general dentistry.

The AGD was founded on the belief that education doesn’t end at graduation, and that those who excel in their chosen field do so because of their commitment to lifelong learning. Dental Continuing Education has now become an industry unto itself, and the AGD remains at the forefront.

Our annual meeting has always been a reflection of that. Many other dental conferences feature continuing education, but few celebrate it the way the AGD does.

The AGD convocation ceremony is a perfect example. After a weekend of learning, networking, and comradery, everyone gathers together to celebrate those who sacrificed the hours and energy to continue the pursuit of learning.

Seeing our members in full regalia, smiling and taking pictures with their families, creates a contagious energy of goodwill felt by everyone in the room.

Every single AGD member needs to visit an annual meeting for themselves to truly understand what our organization is all about. We certainly hope you can join us, July 14 to 17, 2016 in Boston.

Your opinion matters to us. What course subjects do you most look for in a dental meeting? Leave your replies below.
